Bear Jaquan Brisker
Bear Safety Jaquan Brisker: 26th IDP Off the Board / Selected 48th Overall
” Outstanding ball-skills to deflect or intercept passes.”
– Gridiron Ratings 2022 Rookie NFL Draft Guide
The first year outlook for Jaquan Brisker looks very intriguing from an IDP fantasy standpoint. He lands in Chicago with very little in the way of competition at the Strong Safety position. Brisker should have no trouble beating out mediocre veterans DeAndre Houston-Carson and Dane Cruikshank in training camp. Brisker will add more play-making ability to the Bears secondary. The Bears had the 4th fewest takeaways last season with only 16.
Brisker is a versatile player who can play in-the-box or as a deep Safety. His coverage abilities really standout on film. He consistently is in good position to make plays in coverage. He does a good job of reading the quarterback’s eyes and jumping routes to make interceptions. It’s important to note that the Bears finished 29th in interceptions with only 8 last season. Brisker’s ball-hawking mentality should help the Bears force more turnovers next season.
Gauging Dynasty Vs. Redraft
Brisker should be drafted as a top 3 DB in Dynasty rookie drafts. He has a DB1 ceiling.
In Redraft, he has one of the safest floors of the rookie DBs. Good odds of finishing in the DB2 range. He’s a DB3/4 with upside.
